When temptation comes, ask for the strength of Jesus Christ to resist it. If Satan ridicules you saying, "Oh shut up, you love that sin. You don't *really* even want Jesus to help you resist it!" you can send him packing even if your sinful desires make you feel like you still can't mean it when you deny that you love the sin. Say, "But I love Jesus more!"
Recall the story of Job where God and Satan have a conversation about him. At the time you are tempted to sin, consider the possibility that God and Satan are having a conversation about you at that moment. God is saying, "Consider my servant, (insert your name here)..." Satan would love to see you screw up so that he doesn't have to hear about you from God. Don't you want to annoy that scoundrel who rejoices when innocent children are taught to do evil?
