Even though we know that it is not a sad thing when someone goes to be with the Lord, it is difficult not to mourn. This is because our minds so easily get caught up in this life. This life seems so big to us, so long. It seems so long to wait an entire lifetime to see someone again, and even the most sincere Christians don't think happily about the possibility of dying sooner rather than later. My hope and prayer is that those who have lost loved ones can overcome this, that they can see this life for what it truly is - a short period of time during which we can glorify our Savior before we go to live with Him forever along with the loved ones who went to Him before us.
