This was a Thanksgiving assignment. The teacher gave us a word bank of words that we *had* to use in our stories. I put those words in bold.
One Thanksgiving, I was sitting on the couch when some guy came in and started choking me with a turkey. He said he's gonna make me eat a football, some cranberries, a garnish(whatever that is), a platter, a drumstick(non-food, a drumstick for drums), pumpkin pie, stuffing(I hate stuffing), a wishbone, and the dishes. I thought I would surely get indigestion. He cooked the odd feast and set it on the table. Then he went in on the couch and fell asleep. He had my feet chained to the floor so I couldn't move even four feet. Then I yelled "Help!" The police in Portsmouth didn't hear me because they were too busy eating doughnuts, but the ones in California did. I have a lot of time to talk right now, because the police aren't here yet. I have an idea; let's dance, da da da. Oh! Nevermind, I'll just decorate the house, uh, ow. Well, forgot about that, it's pretty hard to move with your feet chained to the floor. Hope I don't wake him up. They should be here soon. Maybe they tried to climb the Rocky Mountains or something. I have an idea. If I can reach it I'll eat that pumpkin pie, yeah.
50 Years Later
Hey, I think I see the police. When they come in I say, "You see, 50 years ago that man over there tried to make me eat a lot of things I didn't like and he fell asleep." Then the policeman said, "So wake him up." But I say, "I don't think he's gonna wake up." Even with my comment the policeman shook the man, and he woke up and said "Merry Christmas!" Then the police took him to the mental hospital.
