Snow covers ground,
Snow blocks out sky.
Snow in the freezer,
Don't ask me why.
Flakes of snow,
Sounds like a cereal.
Some people eat it,
Maybe for a small meal.
Snow on the pavement,
Snow on the road,
A lot to me,
More than I've known.
Snow gets frozen,
Hard as ice.
Go ice skating
And roll the dice.
Much sense this makes,
None at all.
I wonder if it's ever snowed in fall.
This is a kind of boring poem about snow and winter that I wrote in the 8th grade so that I could have a poem in the school newspaper. The part about rolling the dice might seem out of place, but I think of it as someone taking their chances skating on ice that could be too thin.
